IV01 Mahón
The IV01 building in Mahón adopts a Mediterranean design that emphasises natural light and the simplicity of minimalist design. The façade is clad in a combination of local stone and white plaster, materials typical of Mediterranean architecture that reflect sunlight and help keep the interiors cool. The windows are strategically placed and framed with wooden shutters that allow for light control and natural ventilation, as well as providing a traditional and authentic touch.
Inside, the minimalist design is evident in the open and airy spaces, with a layout that encourages air circulation and natural light into every corner of the home. Terracotta or hydraulic tile floors, combined with whitewashed walls, create a fresh and bright atmosphere. Exposed wooden beamed ceilings add a warm, rustic element to the design, while the furniture, with its simple lines and neutral colours, complements the minimalist aesthetic. Interior terraces and patios, adorned with Mediterranean plants, provide private outdoor spaces that extend the living areas and offer serene views of the surroundings, reinforcing the connection with nature and the relaxed lifestyle of the region.
